BHIMGAD Sanctury – A place for Tigers
Bhimgad is considered as one of the place for tigers as Karnataka is the state with highest number of tigers in India. There are around 4-7 tigers in this area which were captured by the DSLR cameras installed by the forest department. In the year 2011 Bhimgad name was added in the list of wild animal sanctuary which is a home for wild animals such as tigers,leopard etc. As per the research it is said that Bhimgad has become an reproduction centre for the tigers which is a good news for the zoologists and to the forest department. Total 30 cameras are installed in this sanctuary which captures every moment of the animals in the sanctuary. These cameras will also be useful in the protection of the animals. DSLR cameras are been used for the first time in India to calculate the number of tigers and looking at the growth of the tigers it is a clear sign that now tigers are SAFE in India.
