Goa Entry Tax Collection on Hold
A tax collection process which was supposed to commence from 1st June has been put on hold by Goa CM Laxmikant Parsekar. Looking at the consequences after the entry tax compulsion made to the nearby districts like Belagavi and other local vehicles government has taken this decision. This entry tax would also have affected the flow of vegetables, fruit, meat and poultry products into the state. Goa government had opened tax collection centres in Dodamarg, Patradevi (Dhrgal), Pole (Kankon), Mole, Kiranpani and Keri-Satteri, after the entry fee was imposed, transporters expressed their anger on government’s move. Therefore the government has to hold on the tax collection from the toll booths.
