Food, Water & Shelter are considered to be the basic needs of every human beings , may it be rich or poor. But looking to the increasing inflation, the prices of basic food staples are still high & this has hindered the purchasing power of common people. Infact, the rate of Chicken is lesser when compared to these food staples. Food staples such as toor dal, urad Dal are high as Rs. 170/- & above per kg, when compared to chicken is costing round about Rs. 130/- per kg. A recent study on market consumption has revealed that seeing to such soaring prices in food grains there has been 75% reduction in the consumption pattern. If such situation continues then a time surely will come when such staples will be considered as elite food items.
Although the government has carried out several raids on such godowns to bring out the hidden food grains out in the market & thereby reduce its market price, but this has not helped much. Because there are still major players in such food gambling who are been hidden & untouched.
