Night classes to achieve 100% result in SSLC exam
With an objective to achieve 100% results in SSLC examination, officials of Mudalagi and Gokak block education offices from Chikkodi educational district have been conducting night classes for students. The teachers are staying in schools on rotation basis to conduct the classes and guide students to confidently write the examination.
Mudalagi block was deemed the best in the state achieving 96.32% pass result last year while Gokak block succeeded in achieving 89% pass result in SSLC examination. This year both these block are working hard to achieve 100% pass result.
About 5855 students from 65 high schools will appear for the SSLC examination in Mudalagi block and 4,487 students from 55 high schools from Gokak block will be appearing for examination this year.
Tuitions, guidance revision of subjects is going on in 37 schools in Mudalagi and five schools in Gokak block in first phase. Apart from regular classes from 10am to 5pm, special classes being held in the from evening 7pm to 11pm. As the syllabus in completed, a series of tests on all subjects are being held in day classes and in special classes. Teachers are guiding students on how to face the examination, holding group discussions and interactions with students to clear doubts, and time management tips to attempt all question in the examination are being taught.
After special classes, few teachers are going home while some teachers are staying in the school. There is no holiday on Sunday for special classes. Ajit Mannikari block education officer, Mudalagi, said the students who don’t show interest in learning never study at home. Although such students will not score, the special night classes are being held to prepare them to at least pass the examination. Teachers are playing a key role in this program .
