Uninterrupted power supply for industries..Power crisis for the city ?
District minister Satish Jarkiholi has assured 9 hours of uninterrupted power supply to the industries.
Last few weeks industries are facing tough time because of power cuts. Venkatesh Sarnobat, President of Belagavi chamber of Commerce, said Belagavi has second largest foundry business in state after Bengaluru. These foundries require uninterrupted power supply. Due to load shedding production is reduced to 50% and Labors are sitting without work. Foundries are failing to dispatch orders in time due to load shedding.
HESCOM officials, said Belagavi division is getting 135 MW of power. Belagavi industries require around 90 MW of power and in the remaining supply has to be managed for commercial, domestic, and street lights. Now after assurance from district minister of 9 hours of power supply to the industries, city and rural areas may face more power crisis?
