Vendor Development meet from May 31ST
Belgaum District Small Scale Industries Association (BDSSIA) has organized ‘National vendor development programme’ Micro Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) Expo-2017 from May 31 to June 2, at Belgaum Foundry Cluster, Udyambag here. Event has been organized in association with Department of Industries and Commerce.
BDSSIA President Umesh Sharma told reporters here that Belagavi, second capital of Karnataka and second largest revenue generation district in the state mainly comprises of 90% of export oriented units.
The idea of holding National Vendor Development programme MSME Expo-2017 was mooted to boost business of MSME’s in the district taking situation of recessionary downtrend in the global business.
MSME’s here comprise of industries like foundries, hydraulic machinery and components, forging, crankshafts and general engineering. These units are dependent on large auto manufactures like Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Maruti Udyog, Ashok Leyland, Balaji Auto etc. Unfortunately all these giants have shown steep decrease in their business as a consequence all MSME’s have lost lot of good business due to the competition, he said.
