Video conference to be implemented in prisons
Implementation of video conferences in the prisons will ensure the centralized controlling and the entire responsibility of looking after the prison will be under one head. This even saves the transportation cost which incur to take the criminals from prison to the court and vice versa.
In our state there are total 62 prisons, the govt has planned to start this initiative with Hindalaga jail as declared by the Karnataka Home minister K J George. For this project the govt has sanctioned Rs.30 crores. Gradually this project will be implemented to other prisons in the state.
Thus, Video conference implementation in all the prisons of the state will ease the functions and activities between court and prisons.
